The Christ Memorial Baptist Church (CMBC) Mass Choir was formed in 1996 by then Minister Thomas J. Sills, who is now Pastor T. J. Sills.  The choir has over ninety (90) anointed members who are on fire for Jesus.

The following is a briefing of our performances:

  • Guest singers on the ticket for Evangelist Shirley Caesar at the Savannah Civic Center.
  • Full Gospel Concert with Min. James Bignon as Guest Director and Soloist.
  • Guest Choir at the 1999 March for Jesus Rally at the Savannah Civic Center.
  • Choir selected by audition to perform at a City Gospel Fest in Historic Savannah's Rousakis Plaza - River Street.  Also performing at this event was the Mississippi Mass Choir.
  • Featured guest - Gospel Fest - Myrtle Beach, South Carolina
  • Featured guest - Gospel Fest - Brunswick, Georgia
  • Guest Choir for several Gospel Plays - Savannah Civic Center

Our Minister of Music, Lonnie Coppock, arranged all of the music and composed most of the lyrics for the recording, along with Bro. Benji Lewis, Bro. Jeffrey Broxton and Pastor T.J. Sills.  Minister Coppock has been blessed in abundance and has worked with numerous artists, such as:  Marvin Sapp, Shirley Caesar, James Bignon, Douglas Miller, Melvin Dawson and Genesis, Miami Mass Choir, Rance Allen, Timothy Wright, Willie Bonds, along with many other up-coming artists in the Christian Movement.
